Details for Guests
Dress Code
Romance in the Gardens Dress Guide
The theme for attire is “Romance in the Gardens”.
Dress code is formal - that means black tie optional, but would love to see tea to floor length gowns and co-ordinating suits. While we have a guide linked above to nail the theme, know that we want our guests to most of all be comfortable and feel great - so please do take it as a guide only.
Important to note - we will be marrying on the grass and afterwards walking ten minutes to arrive at our boat for the harbour cruise - so make sure your footwear will get you from A to B.
Ceremony to Reception Transport
To keep the good vibes rolling, we have planned to take a 7 minute stroll from the gardens to the Eastern Pontoon at Circular Quay via Macquarie Street - where our charter boat, Magic, will be waiting to take us on a harbour cruise with drinks and nibbles. From there, we will cruise on over to Sails at McMahons Point (right on the wharf, no walking required here).
As we are not ending the night in the city, we recommend leaving your car home for the day - but if you do plan on driving to the ceremony and reception and skipping the cruise, let us know so we can provide final numbers for the boat.
For any guests making their own way, the reception venue (Sails) opens for us to enter at 6:30pm and guests will not be able to access prior.
Gifts
We don’t have a registry set up as we don’t have any more bench space in our kitchen (as much as we’d love a Ninja Creami, it just won’t fit). We do however have a virtual wishing well or will have a physical wishing well at Sails, if you would like to contribute to our honeymoon on beautiful Hayman Island.
Food & Drinks
All drinks and food will be provided - starting on the cruise through to the open bar at Sails. We will have canapes on the boat followed by a seated dinner at Sails and there will be plenty of food to go around - however this won’t start until around 4:30pm, so please make sure you have a good lunch before the ceremony to tide you over.
